There are so many ways one can make money from P&O skills. Not only skills though, you can also make money using the knowledge you have as a P&O professional, even as an undergraduate. Here are some of the tips on how you can make money from the P&O skills and knowledge you’ve acquired so far:
- Podcasting: This is a trending profession. You can start up a podcast where you talk about issues or topics relating to the P&O profession that you are passionate about.
- Blogging: Blogging is also a medium for you to earn using the knowledge you have about P&O. You can educate the public about issues relating to P&O, you can also educate P&O students about researches you have made or encourage students based on your personal experiences. Either way, just choose a niche and educate or inspire others. Be sure it is something you are passionate about to avoid losing interest or stopping halfway without realizing or achieving your goals.
- Referrals: Being a P&O student offers you an opportunity to refer patients to professionals. Ensure that the ethical standards and procedures are followed. You can volunteer to assist the P&O professional to manage the patient’s deformity. In some cases, your efforts might be appreciated.
- Vlogging: This is also another way to make money using your knowledge as a P&O student. Most people are bored reading texts from blogs. Creating a video is much more engaging. You can start up a YouTube channel where you teach how to fabricate some prosthetic and orthotic components and have people subscribe to your channel.
- Article writing: If you find it extremely boring to own a blog or you are scared that you will run out of ideas and will be unable to sustain or maintain it, you can decide to write articles for existing blogs and get paid for your services. In all you do, never forget- “A life of Probity is worth living!”
